The ashram is dedicated to under privileged children and is run by a non-profit organization. The ashram is located at Batu Caves. There are currently 16 children in the ashram ranging in age from 6 to 13.

Diary of events
This posting lists significant events, activities and occasions relating to the ashram
6th May 2006 - Performed house warming prayers at the new premises in Pinggiran Batu Caves. Vijayakumara Gurukal from the Sithi Vinayagar koil in Banting was the priest who conducted the ceremony. All the children were in attendance. There was bhajan singing. Ms Sharmala and family sponsored lunch for the day and it was vegetarian food. Sasi, Joysin and Saravanan also attended the function
7th May 2006 - Actual move from the old house to new premises took place. The children slept in the new house for the first time today. The renovation in the house is till in progress especially at the extension to the back of the house. It will take approximately 1 week for the move to be completed and for all things to be placed orderly
